There are many apple barns and several wineries in Ellijay. There is also antique and boutique shops and some great restaurants like River Street Tavern and Cantaberry.
Blue Ridge has several great restaurants, cute shops/boutique and beautiful scenery. They also have the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, which is a train that takes you from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, GA & Copperhill, TN. There is a two hour layover in McCaysville/Copperhill which will give you time to shop in the antique stores, grab a bite to eat, and have one foot in GA and one foot in TN at the same time. This is family friendly activity.

Blue Ridge

Sightseeing
The falls are beautiful and it's the highest waterfall in GA. There are stairs that take you to the bottom of the falls. There are also hiking trails in the park. The start of the Appalachian Trail is in the park.

Wineries
I like a couple of the wines here. I also like the atmosphere. I love to sit on the porch which a great view and watch the goats. They usually have live music on the weekends.

I love the setting here! There are several wines that are tasty and I love the wine slushies in the summer! They sometimes have live music on the patio on the weekends.
