Long open beach with views of the San Juan islands. Alert - if it is high tide the beach can get quite small. Also, This trail is a little tricky but worth it - just as you approach the train track crossing it’s quite steep with poor footing, after you cross the tracks head south about 10 yards to find the trail to the water.

Personal favorite and one of the only truly waterfront dining experiences in Bellingham. Their outdoor seating literally overhangs the water and faces the marina which makes for fun boat watching.

Sightseeing
On a clear day prepare to be awe struck by the beautiful mountains and forests. On a cloudy or rainy day it’s still worth it - the drive up is a beautiful rainforest and sometimes you still get a peek of the mountains. It’s about 90 minutes driving - be sure to stop for a coffee and snack on Glacier at the Wake N Bakery.
