It is only a 12 minute walk from the house, has a play area for kids and gets you to the beach in the shortest amount of time. Walk down to Summer Ave, then across the road cross the park onto the train tracks (No trains run her anymore). Walk 1500 feet on the train tracks to the end of Dry Creek Rd and down the trail under the wooden train bridge to reach Hidden Beach Park.

Restored recently, it is one of the oldest buildings in the Santa Cruz county, built in 1870. It is in the old town of Aptos with a lot of nice boutique style shops and charming places to eat.
