Pisgah National Forest - We are 8 minutes from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. From here you can drive into the Cradle of Forestry and onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is too much to list everything in the forest here. Their website listed below has all the trails/waterfalls and fishing spots broken down. Look for the Pisgah Ranger District to stay local.

Staton RoadPaved and stroller friendly. Connects with the Estatoe trail and starts as a sidewalk along Ecusta Road (at Lowes). It turns into asphalt at the Brevard Sports Complex and continues near downtown. It is roughly 5 miles. There are also sections where you can branch off into nature trails (on foot only) where many people enjoy bird watching.
