We think you will enjoy our little town and want to experience the popular favorites. The main event is taking a picture w/ Paul and Babe 2 iconic statues located in the downtown area. They are lit up for night photos, also! In the winter, we have trees strung w/ colored lights around the statues, and “the singing tree” which requires a radio tuning for the musical accompaniment. This makes our winters special! Numerous coffee shops, restaurants and bars can be found downtown, also (all around the lake, in fact). There are also a number of great little shops/venues for all of your shopping needs.

We recommend you dress for the weather and wear “layers”.
The weather can change quickly around here, so pack accordingly. We have provided a sled for your winter enjoyment. Feel free to bring snowmobiles and ice-fishing houses when lake conditions allow. We are known for our fish-house communities all over Lake Bemidji and the surrounding lakes. Our cozy Cottage is located less than a block from Lake Bemidji and from a biking / snowmobiling trailhead! We boast of some of the most magnificent sunsets, as well as Bald Eagle sightings. You will find there is so much to do right in our neighborhood! So, check in, load up the fridge, and enjoy!

Also, we have a local Science Center for the family to enjoy together. Paul Bunyan Playhouse is also downtown for another option. Bemidji Bowl has a fun arcade and restaurant for non-bowlers. Library Park (downtown) has some of the greatest sledding (right down to the frozen lake)!
