http://www.mcclards.com/mcclards-bbq-history.htm McClard's BAR-B-Q in Hot Springs, Arkansas began in 1928 and has remained a family business ever since. Scott McClard, the 4th generation of the family to work at the restaurant, said they take pride in following the same principles began by his great-grandfather. "Use the best ingredients you can get, buy the best quality cuts you can get, and don't skimp on any portions." They make their side dishes on the premises every day, using the same recipes his great-grandfather used. "You can't buy this stuff off of a truck. You can't take beans out of a can and make it taste like my great-grandfather's recipe."

It has more than 100 hands-on exhibits — both traveling and permanent exhibits. Many permanent exhibits were built in the early 1980s, such as a "ball machine" that hits billiard balls all around an elaborate track. Several of Rowland Emett's "things" (kinetic sculptures) have been at the museum since it opened, including The Featherstone-Kite Openwork Basketweave Mark Two Gentleman’s Flying Machine, as well as several that appear in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as inventions of that film's character Caractacus Potts. One of the museum's permanent exhibits is the most powerful conical Tesla coil, which can produce 1.5 million volts of electricity."

Visit the historic Ohio Club! For over 100 years, the Ohio Club has been the place to be; it all started in 1905 as a Bar and Casino. The Ohio Club has been a stop off place for many celebrities like Al Capone, Bugsy Segel, Bugs Moran, Lucky Luciano. It was also visited by many Major League Ball players since they had spring training in Hot Springs in the early 1900's. Babe Ruth was the most famous to visit. Because of all the gambling that went on in Hot Springs, many headliner talents were brought to Hot Springs. In 1915 Al Jolson performed at the Ohio Club, Mid 30's saw Mae West perform and an entire host of Blues and Jazz performers played though the 60's. Live entertainment is still the mainstay at the Ohio Club with music Thursday thru Monday.
