This very cute and intimate coffee shop/restaurant is a very nice spot to try out not so ordinary dishes with a good selection of vegetarian and handmade cakes and desserts. They have a good selection of bread, cheese, and hot drinks. Best thing is that it's only a minute's walk from my place.

Karga bar is a very unique place. Settled on an Ottoman style house with several stories high. This building does not only feature beautiful decoration and style, but is completely decorated with solid wood floors, ceilings and furniture.

Sightseeing
Rumeli Fort is one of my favourite spots in the city. It enjoys the most stunning views over the Bosporus, the Sultan Fatih bridge and Bebek. It's pure joy to stand over its walls and admire the scenery while being enchanted with the lush surroundings and the turquoise waters of the Bosporus.
Absolutely magnificent views!!

Yoros kalesi/ Yoros castle; the remnants of a Greek castle, a gorgeous ruin on top of a hill dating back 100s of years, has the most spectacular view of the Bosporus, the 3rd bridge and the nature surrounding it.
A very special place, still a secret spot for most and definitely a day out activity while enjoying the aqua waters of the Bosporus and the lush nature and green around you, while you eat at one of the many cafes with stunning views at the skirt of the castle.

Parks & Nature
This gorgeous little park is adorable! It's an oasis in the middle of Besiktas and just 2 minutes walk from my flat. There's a tiny entrance fee of 1 tl (about 35 euro cents), but this assures you to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet in a very distinct and elegant setting. The gardens are immaculate and kept in shape and clean. There are also some peacocks at the gardens and a classic XIX Cnt. building to adorn the park.

Arts & Culture
My favourite museum in Istanbul. It's at Pera district in Beyoglu-Taksim. There are classic and contemporary artist exhibitions. The museum is in a classic building in the heart of the city and enjoys very interesting art dating from the beginnings of the Roman and Byzantine empires until recent years. While worth seeing!

Shopping
The most up scale and international brands filled shopping mall.
There are an infinite amount of the most renowned and famous designers, ALL are there!
It also enjoys a magnificent music hall & theatre.
If you are into top designers shopping ZORLU is unmissable.
A taxi would take you in about 10 min and should cost about €3-4 euros.
