Cuddy Cafe is our closest coffee option open 7 days. It is located opposite beautiful Swan Lake with a view of the lake. It is a 15 minute walk from Scribbly Gums and open for breakfast and lunch. You can walk via the bush and along the lake to get to it - walk to the end of Fifth Ave through the bush and you'll see a dirt road to the right, walk along that and it will bring you out to one of the backstreets of Cudmirrah. Follow that north to the lake and then turn right and you'll eventually find Cuddy Cafe on your right. It is also open for wood fire pizza on a Friday and Saturday evening but closes at 7pm so order early!

Sightseeing
Walk to the end of Fifth Ave, cross Collier Drive and walk through the bush track to land yourself on beautiful Cudmirrah Beach. It's an easy 3 minute walk from our place to the sand.
Cudmirrah Beach is quite a large stretch of beach but it is broken up into smaller beaches and is a really interesting beach that offers something for everyone. Rockpools, reef, lagoon, sandy stretches, sand hills to climb - it's great for swimming, surfing and fishing.
The stretch of beach closest to us is called Kirby's Beach, named after Sir Richard Kirby's old house at the southern end.
Walk north and you'll find The Reef, a popular surf break when there is swell or great for snorkelling when it's flat.
Further to the north are some great sand hills and at the end of the beach is Sussex Inlet Surf Club.
Walk south and you'll find The Cove with lots of interesting rock pools to explore. Further south is Berrara Beach.

The beautiful waters of Sussex Inlet are very hard to see and appreciate from land. You really need access to a boat to see them in all of their glory, especially out towards Sussex Inlet bar. A day on a pontoon is the perfect way to explore them.

Cross the road and walk down the firetrail towards Fisherman's Rock and you'll find the Berrara Creek Waterfall walking track. A beautiful bushwalk right on our doorstep.

Beautiful natural rock pools at the southern end of Berrara Beach. Cross Berrara Creek and walk south for 30 minutues and you will find them. The beach is nice and flat and good for walking along.
