Wellington walks
There are many country walks from our doorstep. Wellington is a livestock Farming and arable area so you will find planted and Livestock Fields. Plenty of Stiles and not that many surfaced paths. There are numerous walks through woodland between villages, where the local flora and fauna can be seen. Deer, Hares, Buzzards, Red Kites and Falcons are common place , hedgerow birds including Woodpeckers, Blue tits and chaffiches and Tawny Owls are common place. The chances are you will see these if out and about . We have maps and books at the annexe detailing other walking routes.

Wellington Village has a well served and supported General store and Post Office. Fresh produce, Cakes, Bread, Meat, cheeses and delicatessen favourites are available alongside other daily essentials. Also Wine and beer on sale. Shop is ably run by Julia Ashton and her friendly team.

Leominster is a small Market Town 7 miles to the North of Wellington. It’s small Market is worth a visit as are its many Antique shops

150 yards from our Home. It has good parking but is within walking distance. Many interesting one off items of salvage and a large range of plants and gifts. Has a nice cafe serving Hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and light lunches.
