Very nice walk along Corrib River through the university campus to the sports grounds at Menlo. Wind your way back to the house through the new buildings of the north campus and the old buildings of the south campus taking in the historic Aula Maxima at the south entrance.

Recreation and walks
The sea side promenade that leads to Salthill starts near the cottage at the Claddagh. Walk the whole way to the end of the prom and back (10k) or stroll to one of the many bars and restaurants in lower Salthill 2-3 k one way.
