Sightseeing

This is the No. 1 reason many visitors come to Phillip Island. Watch the Fairy Penguins (AKA Little Penguins) waddling up the beach to their homes, it's super cute no matter how old you are! (My hot tip, pay the extra money for the "Penguins Plus" tickets if you really want to see them "up close and personal").

Crowd Favourite for Swimming, Surfing, Sunbathing!

Smiths Beach is the most well known and favoured beach on the island for a reason. It's beautiful and about as safe as a surf beach can get. (Keep in mind ANY surf beach can have dangerous currents, always swim within your limits). Surfboard + Wetsuit hire and also lessons are available here. Young kids will love the rockpools!

My local surf spot

***Photos coming soon*** This is where I surf most of the time. It's a cruisy beach break, perfect for the intermediate / weekend warrior surfer who doesn't get a chance to hit the waves regularly. Best of all, it's a 3 minute walk from my house! There is also Surfies Point, a rock-reef break popular with longboarders and shortboarders alike.

Food scene

The "capital city" of Phillip Island, this is where you will find the greatest abundance of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and anything else you'd expect from a regional town centre.
