Watch for JELLYFISH during monsoon season, especially July.
If you get stung, rinse the area with vinegar (vinagre). Do not rub the area.

Watch for STINGRAY early March - mid November.
To avoid stepping on them, shuffle your feet as you walk through the sand while in the water ('stingray shuffle'). If you get stung, inspect the wound for a part of the stinger bone before the pain sets in. Get medical help if necessary. Relieve pain by soaping foot in the hottest water you can stand as quickly as possible. You can also rinse the area with vinegar (vinagre) or baking soda (bicarbonato).
