This area has it all - beaches, mountains, rivers, and more. It's a 1.5 hour drive into downtown Panama City and a couple hours to the Caribbean. You'll find Coronado an expat haven with plenty of amenities familiar to travelers from North America.

Driving Advice
If you're from the US, your driver's license is good in Panama for 3 months. Driving, while more aggressive, is very similar to the US. We highly recommend renting a car through Panama Car Rentals in Coronado.

Local brands are cheaper
When shopping at the grocery store, we recommend Super-99 or Matchetazo in Coronado. Remember that often the local brands are much cheaper. For example, Honey Nut Cheerios are $7.00 a box but Cheerios Miel (honey) are $3.50.
Also, Matchetazo offers deliver to the house for a small fee off of their website.
