This beach is the best for a west Oahu sunset. Get a Poke Bowl and a few beers from Tamuras on the way. Then have a chill and awe inspiring sunset picnic.

This is a good hike. You have to drive through one of Hawaii's most prestigious gated communities. Beautiful trail and great views. Moderate to difficult.

Waikiki Beach is for tourists. It is safe and beautiful. But the water quality is not as good as other places on the island that aren't so busy. This is good for the family. There is a lot to explore in Waikiki, from high-end shopping, to dining, and nightlife. It is a classic Hawaii staple, but I would avoid it if the tourist trap isn't your scene.
