Skiing and Mountain Biking
Mt Abram Ski and Mountain Bike park is just 13 mins from the yurt and not only does it offer great skiing and mountain biking it has year round entertainment and great pizza.
Mt Abram is one of our favorites! Great skiing in the winter and they have a awesome mountain bike park in the spring/summer and fall! They have good food and always have some great live music (you may even catch my husband Jeff playing music there :) It’s just a 13 min drive from the yurt!

If you are looking for a great family friendly place to hike with easy trails for the kids or looking for a more strenuous hike Maggie’s nature trails has it all. Choose from several trails great for hiking, biking, or running you will find it here. Just a short 12 min drive from the yurt.

Maggie's Nature Park

Choose from several trails great for hiking, biking, or running you will find it here. Just a short 12 min drive from the yurt.
The park's mountain scenery includes the Screw Auger and Mother Walker waterfalls, Step Falls, and Moose Cave. Recreational opportunities include swimming, fishing, hunting, and picnicking. Hiking trails include a rugged 12-mile (19 km) stretch of the Appalachian Trail that any backcountry hiker would find challenging. Two great hikes with spectacular views are Old Speck and my favorite Table Rock! Grafting Notch State park and scenic Road is just a 35 min drive from the yurt with a full day of adventure.

Mount Will trail in Bethel is another one of my favorite hikes in the area. A 3-mile loop hiking and nature trail along US Route 2 in Bethel that traverses several open ledges with many views of the Androscoggin River Valley. Trail is moderately challenging. 22 minute drive from the yurt.
