A stunning island (a Buddhist Retreat) which has rare breeds grazing on it. A steep walk over the top of the island with amazing views. A real get-away from it all place accessible by a small ferry.

Turn right as you leave the driveway of the house (heading west) a lovely walk through Eas Mor ecology trail to the top of Kildonan on the high road. A lovely quite steep walk via Eas Mor waterfall and library to Loch Garbad.

12 hole golf club with outstanding views - one of 7 courses on the Island - in our opinion the best course! A ticket can be purchased for £110 to play all 7 courses. A nice clubhouse serves coffees/light lunches.

A very friendly club (our boys were members over the years) which has great views of the sea. Quite hilly but only 10 minutes from our house - our eldest son used to play even just a few holes in the evening.

Book ferry crossings to and from Ardrossan on the mainland early - they can be very busy and are subject to the weather!
