This place is so fun! Spend the morning browsing the metal art work and sculptures outside and then move into the greenhouses when it gets warmer in the afternoon to browse exotic plants, cacti and succulents. Plenty of photo ops and maybe even pick up a neat metal sculpture (like the two in the master bath) to commemorate your visit!

Did you know the Grand Canyon is so close to Las Vegas?! Enjoy the views from the South Rim, then explore inside the canyon on a 2-hour hike. After lunch, drive part of Route 66, making a stop in Seligman and taking in the views at Hoover Dam. We suggest setting aside 14-16 hours for this excursion but it will be worth it!

Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada. The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago. These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. It is Nevada's oldest state park, as commemorated with Nevada Historical Marker #150. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.
Valley of Fire is located 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Las Vegas, at an elevation between 1,320–3,009 feet (402–917 m). It abuts the Lake Mead National Recreation Area on the east at the Virgin River confluence.

Stroll the Promenade!
As you exit The Haven, head to the end of Whitford Street and take a right. Walk all the way to the end of the street to the red gate (no passcode required to exit the neighborhood). Grass, shade trees and a playground are available if you turn right immediately after entering The Promenade. The ends of the walkway link to the main roads on both ends, so it's possible to do a loop of the entire neighborhood and re-enter the gate from either Dorrell or The Promenade. Gate code is 514.
