Food scene
Bruton has a variety of restaurants on offer led by Osip which is run by Britain's youngest Michelin starred chef Merlin Labron-Johnson. Described as a 'small farm to table' experience it is fantastic but booking is essential. Also in Bruton are the Roth Bar and Grill which is part of the Hauser and Wirth Gallery, the At the Chapel restaurant and Matt's Kitchen. Coffee destinations include Cat's Cafe and Bean Shot Coffee but the Roth Bar is the best destination for brunch. There is also an excellent new wine bar on Bruton High Street called the Old Pharmacy. Elsewhere, the Newt in Somerset (10 minutes away) has various restaurant formats within its beautiful gardens all of which are excellent. Local pubs include the Bell and Crown and White Lion in Bourton, the Bradley Hare in Maiden Bradley and the Bath Arms in Horsingham near Longleat.
