Food for the cabin!
It is best to get food supplies before getting to Glacier. There are only small groceries near the cabin (they are fine for necessities but are very limited). I advise acquiring your food supplies before leaving Bellingham are another larger town. Once you get on Mt Baker HWY you will be limited.

Summer and mosquitos
The forest is fully of hungry mosquitos. I do have DEEP WOODS OFF at the cabin - but on the slight chance we are out - it might be good to bring a back up - especially if the mosquitos like you as much as they like me!

Dogs!
If you are traveling with your furry kid - dog's are required to be on leash at all times in the neighborhood. Exception - there is an "off-leash" area by the baseball field where you can let your pup stretch their legs. I have a chuck-it and some treats in the bar cabinets. If you use the chuck-it - please return it. My pup would be lost without it! Also - please pick up poo! There are receptacles at the park - as well as extra bags. I have a little can on the front porch to place bagged poo in as well. Please dispose of this in the community garbage at the end of your trip.

Carpenter Ant Migration
Once a year - you may find some BIG BLACK ANTS wandering around the cabin. They are on their annual walkabout in the woods. They do not bite - they come in for a bit and then leave. There is ant spray in the lower bathroom. But they are rarely there when we have renters. Part of the joys of living in the woods :)
