Neighborhoods
Grant Park is one of the prettiest historic neighborhoods in Atlanta and best places to experience the city's tree canopy. Grant Park is characterized by Victorian-style architecture, little villages of local shops and restaurants, and the fourth-largest park in the city.
Grant Park is adjacent to other great neighborhoods including Cabbagetown, Summerhill, and East Atlanta. You can see lots of great murals by local organization Living Walls throughout as you wander Grant Park, Summerhill, and Cabbagetown.

Sightseeing
A beautiful historic cemetery with fantastic walking paths. This is the final resting place of Margaret Mitchell, Bobby Jones, and many former Atlanta mayors.

Make sure to check out the newly unveiled Gateway which overlooks the Savannah habitat at Zoo Atlanta and often has roller skaters showing off their skills on nice days.

The second-oldest house in Atlanta is still standing on its original location: the 1858 mansion of Lemuel P. Grant, after whom the park and neighborhood are named. The Grant home now serves as the headquarters of the Atlanta Preservation Center.

This multi-trail adventure at Constitution Lakes Park crosses paved paths, unpaved trails, and boardwalks through scenic, wildlife-filled wetlands, catching views of several small, marshy lakes. The Doll’s Head Trail, a short loop in the middle of this adventure, is an ultra-unique experience, a short hike through displays of bricks, toys, and tiles found at the park. The trail winds through the forest and exploring collections of found objects, washed from the banks of the nearby South River, now artfully and whimsically arranged in displays of folk art and culture.

If you want to do some eating and shopping, all from the convenience of the Beltline, Ponce City Market is a not-to-miss. The building is an old SEARS factory that was refurbished by the same developers who were responsible for Chelsea Market.

Public transportation exists, but minimally.
MARTA is fairly limited in terms of where it can get you. Generally, expect to drive or ride share most of the time. The Beltline is a great option to get between neighborhoods, especially if you rent a bike or scooter.
