Parking Downtown:
• Parking is free on Sundays and holidays
• A few years ago BTV instituted a “core” section of town where the parking meters were upgraded for use with credit cards, and the price increased. These meters require payment up to 10pm. The meters look space age – you can tell the difference btw the new ones and the old ones.
• Side streets have coin operated meters and run up to 6pm. Takes nickels, dimes and quarters, the old way. And the minutes run longer for the money than the new meters in the core section.
• There are also parking garages on Cherry Street
