Walking
Getting outdoors is important to mental and physical health and wellbeing, and the Cateran Trail provides a safe and accessible route for such exercise during these times of social distancing and restrictions.
The Trail is a fully waymarked 64-mile / 103 km route through Perthshire and the Angus glens in the heart of Scotland that it divided into five stages that can be explored over five days. It is managed and maintained by Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust.
Wigwam Holidays Ballintuim has joined the business support scheme for the Cateran Trail, which runs just a stone’s throw past the lodge’s front door. The Supporting the Cateran Trail scheme was launched in 2020 and allows hotels, B&Bs and businesses of all sizes in Perthshire and Angus along the route to broaden our green credentials and contribute towards the improvement and maintenance of the much-loved route.
