Stretch your legs
Relaxing, traffic-free route, perfect for walkers, cyclists and runners. Take a right out of Barn Cottage, right onto Tannery lane for 5 mins til you reach the bridge. After the bridge take a right onto the cycle route and follow the path to the right to cross over the smaller bridge. You should now be on route 22.
If you go right this will take you for a mile along the river until you reach the main road. You can cross the road and continue the path until you reach the River Wey. Alternatively if you go left from the smaller bridge, the path will take you along the old railway station to Bramley and you can continue the path all the way to Cranleigh (6 miles) if you wish.

Atmospheric walk around the ruins of the gunpowder mills and you can climb St Martha’s if you’re feeling lively. Chilworth is about 2.5 miles from Bramley. Head right out of Barn cottage 1 mile to Shalford and right again 1 mile towards Chilworth, then take a left at the turning for Chilworth.

Chilworth RoadAtmospheric walk around the ruins of the gunpowder mills and you can climb St Martha’s if you’re feeling lively. Chilworth is about 2.5 miles from Bramley. Head right out of Barn cottage 1 mile to Shalford and right again 1 mile towards Chilworth, then take a left at the turning for Chilworth.
