If you want to have a nice dinner in Olbia, We highly recommend a local trattoria, casual look, friendly service but delicious food! Ask for the house wine (it is a Vermentino White Wine great with fish). Get the both hot and cold appetizers (they will bring it to you all in once, you will not have to choose) you'll be surprised about taste and the generous assortment). Then you can order a pasta or a main course but do not order more because the appetizers are a lot! Their bread basket is delicious, and you should know that the very thin slides crunchy bread they make is named "carta da musica" or “pane carasau". “Carta da Musica” means music paper .... because when you eat it, it cracks in your mouth and make sounds :) The same bread oven roosted with olive oil, rosemary and salt it's named “Pane Guttiau”. A typical Sardinian speciality.

The owner's name is Alberto Arru (he doesn’t speak English but his wife and his staff does). If you make him aware that you are staying at Aurelio's Nordio cottage at Lido del Sole we are confident he will take extra good care of you :). Alberto is a dear friend :). Try “arselle” and “bottarga spaghetti”, and the best tiramisu' ever!

Prehistoric monument of over 4 thousand years ago, which evokes the head of a bull, a nuragic divinity. Unlike the thousands of prehistoric burials of its kind, the deceased were buried collectively. In the funeral hall the sacred rites related to the deceased were officiated but here, compared to what happened elsewhere, the funerary documents that accompanied the deceased until the union with the divinity were not found in the sacred well.

Despite the collapses, the view of the Pedres Castle from the north still makes it seem mighty and impregnable today. The castle characterizes the entire southern part of the Olbiese basin, entirely dominated by the building despite the fact that it stands on a rock of only 89 meters.

(20 minutes from the cottage) Located along the strip of Golfo Aranci, Bados can be accessed by taking SP82 toward the asphalt road. It has a vast shore housing innumerable pizzerias, restaurants and high-end hotels. This particular beach is a favorite with families due to its shallow sea bed, which makes it ideal for swimming and children’s games. There are a few water sports activities, but people come here mostly to swim and sunbathe. Few more info...just out of curiosity :) Please find attached a Sardinia guide just to learn more about the island :)
