Be in nature - there is an unused golf course about 5 minutes walk away which has been reclaimed by nature. Walk through it and you can carry on to Widbrook Wood (about 30 minutes walk a way). Dogs should be kept on leads in the fields before the wood - as sheep are kept there.
Turn left outside the house down Avonfield Avenue, it's a crescent and as you get to the end, on the right hand side you will see some run down garages. Turn down here and walk all the way to the bottom of the hill where you will see some disused portacabins on your left. Ahead of you is an old golf course which has been left to nature.
If you want to walk riverside walk down some steps on your left.
Alternatively weave your way through the old golf course (the river runs along the bottom). There are some fields at theback right of the golf course, with walkways that lead you past the Sailing Club, and directly ahead of you is Widbrook woods.
You can wander around, knowing that to the right is the canal, which you can use to cut back into Bradford on Avon, or continue on towards Trowbridge.
