This is a relatively short (1.5 miles) strenuous hike. It is all downhill on the way in with a lot of stairs. The trek back will be sure to get your heart rate up! We recommend bringing some snacks and lots of water. The Kaymoor Miners Trail offers a great workout with a beautiful scenery, topped off with a bit of WV history!

This is a relatively short (1.5 miles) strenuous hike. It is all downhill on the way in with a lot of stairs. The trek back will be sure to get your heart rate up! We recommend bringing some snacks and lots of water. The Kaymoor Miners Trail offers a great workout with a beautiful scenery, topped off with a bit of WV history!

This trailhead is a short walk from our place and connects to the Kaymoor Miners Trail. Going to the Kaymoor Mines is roughly 7.2 miles or you can take the entire trail to Fayette station road making it a 16.5 mile hike. This is not a loop hike so keep that in mind.

This river access point is just a few minutes from our place. It is a very popular put-in / take-out for rafting and is a great place to explore and cool off during those hot summer months.

Wolf Creek Falls is beautiful and is close enough to the trail that visitors can reach out to touch the water. Hiking is required to reach this waterfall.

Dunloup Falls is located along the road to the historic town of Thurmond. The road getting there is winding and narrow at times. The Falls are beautiful and you may be able to spot a coal train riding the rails just above the falls.
