For a great walk, turn right out of the house and right again at the crossroads, walk up the hill until you see a pathway on the left. The pathway leads to fields. Continue to the top where you can turn left to look out towards Exmouth

The toilets are fine but what I'd like to recommend is once you get to Boat Cove, continue to Coryton Cove, a lovely beach to swim.
Before the cove, between the beach huts there's steps and a path that lead up. From the top you can take in the views. If you wish to go further go to the back of the green and turn left. Continue for a couple of minutes onto the Old Teignmouth Road. Keep walking until you see steps down which take you to the coastal path.

Walk or drive, beautiful beaches and nature reserve. If you walk you could always get the train back to Dawlish. To walk turn up hill then take the second turning right down to Exeter Road. Cross over to join the coastal path
