Exploring

Bardo cabins are situated along the Seguin Trail, a section of the long abandoned JR Booth Railway, and part of the 230 km Park-to-Park Trail. This four-season multi-use trail system connects Killbear Provincial Park to Algonquin Provincial Park. It’s a coveted destination for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, horseback riding, ATV-ing, dirt biking, cycling and hiking. The route traverses a region rich in natural and cultural heritage. Highlights include visible evidence of logging and rail line, early settlement villages and colonization roads. The trail cuts laterally across the southern extent of the Canadian Shield exposing the glacially scarred granite bedrock among old growth forest, and passing numerous lakes, rivers, streams, and wetlands.
