Sightseeing

This is a beautiful stretch of beach on the Lake Ontario waterfront, featuring a lengthy boardwalk that is a wonderful stroll in all kinds of weather. Head south down Woodbine Ave. Walkable in perhaps 30 minutes. Drive in 10 minutes. Buses depart regularly straight down Woodbine Ave. from Woodbine subway station. Get off at Queen St. and walk east along street lines with shops and bars, a small-town feel in the big city, then head south to beach/boardwalk.

This is a trail along a creek and ravine that runs east-west, north from my place about a 10-15 minute walk. Head up Gledhill Ave. until you reach Stan Wadlow Park; keep going right into the ravine. Full of birds and trees and squirrels and dogs walkers and fellow happy hikers.
