Sightseeing
Fjellstua has a beautiful view of the city, it also has an amazing restaurant. You can walk from the residence and up the Aksla mountain for about 60 minutes to reach it, drive, or walk up the famous stairs from Byparken (city park).

Borgundgavlen is a beautiful place with loads to explore! Sunnmøre museum is based here, with old traditional and all local houses scattered around the area. The museum also holds old historic boats (make sure to check the opening times to see the ones kept inside), as can be seen on the water across from the residence. Dyreklubben is a local farm with different animals, also located in Borgundgavelen. There is also a viewpoint at the top, if you are looking for a small hike!

Sukkertoppen is a widely enjoyed hike by locals and tourists, and it only takes around 40 minutes to walk up. However, it is considered a demanding hike and is not recommended for unexperienced individuals. If you choose to give it a shot, I’d recommend going on a dry day as it can get extremely wet and muddy, but I promise it’ll be worth it when you get to the top!
