Sanderson for its great viewing conditions and lack of pollution. There’s tons of places to see the stars, however the prime spot to go is the Sanderson Astronomy Lookout Point. Be sure to know the way as there’s no cellphone coverage there.

Internet your search for Olustee Beach for more Info: 6H7C+VG Sanderson, Florida From the website: Come join the fun! Swim along a shallow sandy beach and watch the water birds wade through the cypress. You may also enjoy fishing on the pier, picnicking under the hammock, or walking the Trampled Track Trail, which tells the story of Osceola's turpentining history. Boating * Kayaks, canoes and low-powered boats can enjoy the cypress that line the lake's perimeter. Enjoy the boat launch for easy access into the water. Fishing * Fish from either the shoreline or drop your boat into the water for deeper lake fishing. Anglers are sure to enjoy the barrier-free pier at the boat launch and parking area.  Hiking * While less than 0.5-mile long, this barrier-free trail takes you back more than a century through the history of a sawmill and community that thrived along the Ocean Pond shores in the early 1900s. The reward for your short trip is a beautiful observation point overlooking Ocean Pond.  Swimming * The sandy beach at Ocean Pond offers a chance to cool off on hot summer days. Waterskiing * Waterski along the glassy lake or watch the white caps roll in on windy days.

Exploring the Camp!

The roads are dirt and most of our guest enjoy bringing along ATV's, motorbikes, dirt bikes or side by sides or a canoe to float down St. Mary's river. Canoe drop natural terrain, not paved. There is a golf cart available on site and can be used by a responsible adult. Plenty of area to bring along your own OHV toys. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, and you might see the local peacock! The bird will fly high, stoop onto top of the homes, tall trees. Not a danger to anyone, just observe with your eyes:) We have seen alligators in the river, be cautious of lizards & other reptiles.

Wildlife Encounters: Be Cautious & Aware!

We caution you to be very mindful of the area and remember you are sharing the area with wildlife. You are venturing out at your own risk. Do NOT attempt to FEED or PROVOKE any wildlife such as alligators, bears or snakes. It's essential to be vigilant when hiking or exploring particularly in areas with dense vegetation, underground burroughs, fallen logs or tree branches, under furniture & near water sources where snakes may be more prevalent. Be cautious when reaching into areas (firewood/bushes)
