A real Viennese Kaffehaus in the neighborhood. Not the best coffee or food in the area but the athmosphere certainly makes up for it. Worth a visit for the Viennese coffee house experience.

A real hidden gem. A small neighborhood café that doesn’t look like anything special on the street side but there is a hidden, lovely backyard garden in which guests can enjoy their libations. Hence the name garden cafe.

Joseph Haydns home houses a small museum. Even though the museum itself is quite small it is still worth a visit because it allows you to get a real feel of what life in 18th century, Baroque era, Vienna was like. Cosy with a small garden.

One of the must-see places for any visitor to Vienna. Schönbrunn is the former emperors summer palace. It's beautiful baroque architecture and huge, beautifully maintained park is sure to enchant you.
During travel season go early in the day to avoid crowds. Park opens to the public at 06:30 during summer months. Palace itself opens at 09:00.
Consider buying tickets online ahead of your visit to skip the line and make your visit more pleasant.
For entertaining the kids there is the Schönbrunn zoo. Don't plan to do the palace and the zoo in one day. That would be too much.

Being from Vienna it never occured to me that this place is special until I realized how many international visitors this place attracts.
Built in a second world war air defense tower (Flak Turm) that turned out to be impossible to demolish at the end of war (due to the 2 meter thick concrete walls), this place was converted to a sort of Aqua Zoo starting in the 1950`s. It has grown ever more popular and keeps expanding and adding more and more exhibits and attractions.
Great bad weather option but be prepared that is when you are likely to encounter queues. Purchase tickets online on their website to skip the line.

Riding subway trains with strollers, wheelchairs or bicycles
Almost all trains (except U6) has room for strollers and bicycles in the first and last subway car. U6 used different train types, there each car has a smaller area in the middle of the car.

Getting around with strollers
Every subway station in Vienna now has wheel chair accessible elevators and 90% of buses and trams are of the low floor variety. So it’s really easy to use public transport with kids and push chairs / strollers.

Packing for each season
Vienna has a continental climate, which means rather cold in the winter, though usually rarely less than 0 Celsius, but geez comfortable and temperate for most of the year. Traditionally temperatures stayed at less than 30 degrees even during summer months but of course climate change is become more noticeable.
