Food Scene
Great little restaurant/takeaway on the edge of the village. The locals use it as a bit of a pub now that the pub is closed! You can walk it in 15 mins from the cottage. The owner has given people a lift home at closing time, but don't go there expecting a free taxi! If you do go tell him you are staying with 'the man from gloucester!' as that 's waht he has decided to call me! The owners and locals are friendly, fun and happy to talk to you. The food is great and the portions are generous.

The iconic Dylans restaurant on the esplanade is well worth a visit. Something on the menu for everyone and a well stocked bar. Dine out with a view of the bay!

Really good 'on the beach' cafe/restaurant/bistro serving a range of freshly cooked and prepared food from sandwiches to full dinners. From personal experience the fish pie, linguine and the battered fish and chips are all worth a go.
You can walk it off afterwards with a walk along the beach but check the tide times first as the water comes right in.

Mackeral fishing trips, nature cruises and 'trips around the bay'. I've been out and caught fish with these people and seen dolphins in the bay. Good tackle shop and lots of local knowledge.

An interesting walking tour around an old copper mine. We visited this on our honeymoon and thought it was an interesting tour. It's suitable for all ages and is relatively easy to get around inside and out.

A lovely little antiques, vintage and collectables shop owned by sisters Helen and Jenny. Who know's what you will find in here! Jenny and Helen also sell a range of handmade jewellery, bags, cushions and purses made from reclaimed and vintage fabric. The pew cushions in the cottage are made by them!
