Sightseeing
100% recommend this diamond mine. Although it is a bit far from our cabins it is a one of a kind experience since it is the only diamond mine in the world that has a "finders keepers" rule ( you find a diamond and you keep it! Perfect for all ages. In the summer they also have a kids pool area so take your swimming suits!

Crater of Diamonds State Park

This state park is beautiful and I would recommend going around sunset time for some of the most amazing views that you can see from your car. If you do not like hiking, but love seeing the view, this is a must see for you.

A nice place to go during your summer trip. Fun for all ages and a great way to cool down in the heat. This is highly recommended by previous guests.

This botanical garden has fun for all ages and is so pretty year round. They often have something special happening there and they always have easy walking trails.

Bring your own alcohol!
We live in a dry county so BYOB (brink your own beer)! The closest store that you can get alcohol at is 1 hour away in either Hot Springs or Fort Smith.

We are quite a ways from town!
We are at least 15 minutes away from the nearest town, Waldron, and 25 minutes away from Mena which has Walmart. Please be prepared to be pretty far out in the country when you book. Our property is directly on the highway though so it is not hard to get to!

If you are planning to be outside, bring close toed shoes
Since we are positioned right on the Ouachita National Forest, we have critters that find their way right around the outside of the cabins. We suggest wearing closed-toed shoes around, especially at night, and to always watch your step. You are likely to run into some sort of wildlife if you walk around the property.
