Lacock is a 13th century village and is a real step back in time, reflecting the famous 'Cotswolds' villages. It is a very picturesque and friendly village. Many movies have been filmed here, including Harry Potter. Only 25 minutes drive away.

The stone circle at Avebury is believe it or not, older than Stonehenge. What makes this place more magical is that you get get close to the stones, unlike Stonehenge.
It only takes 40 minutes from our home and is well worth the visit!
You can also visit Avebury Manor, a 16th century house which takes you on a journey through time. It belongs to the National Trust, so definitely worth a visit if you are a member.

Frome is a pretty Market town and is only about 15 minutes drive away from The Tea Barn.
On the first Sunday of the month, The Frome Artisan Street Market takes place. The town centre is closed for traffic and is open for an abundance of stalls. You will find very interesting stalls with local produce, antiques, bric- a-brac, crafts etc. you won't grow hungry as there are a huge variety of cooked food stalls as well, and local beers to wash it down!
The market tends to grow during holidays, especially during the summer and at December....perfect for buying Christmas presents!
Frome

The Village of Imber.
The village of Imber is only half an hour drive from here. It was evacuated in 1943 and is still deserted to this day. It was evacuated in November to aid the training of American soldiers for the D-Days landing.
Full details of dates when there is access to Imber and when St Giles Church is open to visitors is kept up to date on the St Giles Church web site.
Other activities during this period will be advertised when dates are confirmed.
