Renting a car is highly recommended.
Taxis are available from the Palm Cay Welcome Center and from downtown Nassau, Paradise Island, and Cable Beach. However, to properly explore the island, we highly recommend a car rental. Rentals are available through standard companies such as Hertz and Avis, but there are also very good private companies.

Most places in the Bahamas are very casual. An upscale restaurant would require a collared shirt and long pants for men.
Palm Cay is very casual. Shorts are acceptable at the restaurant. If you are visiting during the winter months, a light sweater is recommended, as the breeze can get cool at night.
