Amazing place to go and relax, unwind and just enjoy the hot pools. Usually open by 7am so if you want to avoid the mid morning or afternoon crowds we recommend getting down there early!

The StrandThis is the waterfront area of Tauranga with heaps of shops, cafes, the Art gallery is close by, main bus stop in and out of the city is also close by; generally just a good place to go for a stroll and pick what you want to do, heaps of food options up and down The Strand.
If you're looking to see what the region really has to offer then the short drive to Ohope in Whakatane is a great idea. This is an awesome day trip being just over an hour away, this trip is worth it! We have found getting up relatively early to be out the door by 10 or 11am and return before the sunsets so you can enjoy the view on your way back. Be sure take your swimming gear, pack some lunch and if you have what it takes attempt the walk over the hill into neighbouring Otarawairere Bay with it's stunningly secluded beach.

A trip to the region is not complete without visiting Te Puke and stopping in on some of the really neat little shops the town has to offer, maybe drive around and checkout some of the kiwifruit orchards!
