By staying at Golden Beach visitors can enjoy the amazing 90 Mile Beach AND be staying very close to the Gippsland Lakes. Golden Beach located approximately a 30 minutes drive from Sale. A 3 hour drive from the Melbourne CBD and exactly half way along 90 Mile Beach in Gippsland Victoria, Australia.

Sightseeing

Six Kilometres from Golden Beach Township lays The Trinculo Shipwreck. The barque Trinculo weighed 318 tons and was built 1858 measuring 138.1 feet. It was forced ashore by a gale in 1879. The ship struck a sandbar 30 Metres from shore and slewed broadside to the beach. Luckily all on board survived after the heroic efforts of the crew. Also surviving to this day is the wreck which is best seen after king tides have removed lots of sand!
