Edinburgh is not a large city so is a great place to explore on foot, the buses in Edinburgh are reliable & frequent, the bus costs £1.80 for any journey, you can tap your card as you get on the bus or pay in exact cash. It is worth downloading the ‘bus & tram’ Lothian bus app.

In Edinburgh you can use Uber, Gett and Beep beep, you can also call a black cab, there is ‘central taxis’ (search to find number) or hail one down on the street if their light is on.

You have to try haggis and a fish supper whilst you are in Scotland, a lot of the Scottish restaurants included in the guide book will serve haggis and you can pick up a traditional fish supper with ‘salt and sauce’ at a chippy, I have included a couple in the guide book but there are lot’s around the city.
