Sonora is a vibrant small mountain community. It was known as the “Queen of the Southern Mines” and was the most important city of the great Sierra gold belt. You can take on nice hiking trails, a visit to one of the museums and, for golf enthusiasts, of course, Golf clubs.

Twain Harte was named for authors Mark Twain and Bret Harte. It is known for a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, boating, golfing and lots and lots of fun snow activities.

Jamestown California is the first town you encounter when entering Tuolumne County. Here you can see historic buildings date back to the 1870s and 1880s. Book a gold panning tour or explore one of remaining working railroad roundhouses at Railtown 1897Historic Park. Visit Chicken Ranch Casino, Vineyards at Gianelli and Hurst Ranch vineyards. If you are not interested with those mentioned above, you could just stay at Amare and kickback while enjoying the view of the lake. You cant beat that! =)
