Amazing fried whiting. VERY slow. But if you're looking for fried fish, this is MUCH tastier than that fish place next door that smells so good. Definitely call ahead with your order.

Don't go here. Guidebooks recommend it reflexively, but the portions are tiny, and the food is relatively bland and expensive.

If the hustle of NYC is getting you down, DON'T miss the Cloisters at Fort Tryon. Beautiful views, very cool medieval art, and peace. Also this lovely restaurant, which sells glorious hot chocolate.

There are actually a bunch of these and the closest is up at 147th on Broadway. This is a great place to get any incidentals at "normal" non-NYC-marked-up prices. Like Chinatown for us up-towners.
