It's my favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle. EVERYTHING on the menu is 5 stars. I LOVE the crab fried rice and the penang curry chicken. Of course the pad thai is the best you'll eat. Their wine selection is wonderful. Expect a wait for a table or order take out. Ask for the lovely Ann who is a gem of a friend!

One of the best city views is from the patio at Marination Ma Kai. Everything on the menu is delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I order the Miso Ginger Chicken Kimchi Fried Rice or the Fish & Chips with the Miso Ginger tartar sauce. Skip the long line in front and walk inside and order from the bar, then enjoy the outdoor seating and stunning view. Bring a sweater when dining after 8pm.

They have the best eggs benedict, beignets, and mimosas! Expect a wait for a table, but I recommend sitting in the bar. You can grab a coffee while you wait around the corner at Cafe Ladro.

Enjoy the 2.8 walk around the lake nestled in the Wallingford and Phinney Ridge neighborhoods. You have to drive north on I-5 or on 99/the viaduct. Avoid peak times on the freeways when you plan your day trip. There are lots of restaurants around the lake, but you can also drive about 2 miles west to the outdoor University Village shopping mall.

If you walk around the corner from my house to the west, you will be captivated by the views of the Olympic Mountain range and/or sunsets. Prepare the walk down and back up the hill which is a easy to moderate climb. Once on Alki Avenue or Beach Drive, you can walk to the east for the city view or to the west for the mountain view. You'll find these spots along the way: Starbucks and Tullys coffee, Top Pot donuts, Dukes and Cactus restaurants, and Coastal for sea to ski apparel.
