Sanjo Ohashi is a bridge over the Kamo River. It is the western end of the Nakasendo trail and Tokaido, two Edo-period roads that connected Edo (Tokyo) with Kyoto.

The small bridge over the canal was used in the filming of Memoirs of a Geisha. Come at about 5 or 6pm, the light is beauutiful and you may see Geisha on to evening appointments.
