Honestly, these public gardens will blow you away! Free entry, and a nice cycle/walk along the riverbank from the city or Hamilton East.
Lovely little council reserve which forms part of our gully. Beautiful native re-plantings, lots of birds, very peaceful. Look for the accessway between no.17 & 19 Balloch Street: a steep concrete path takes you down to the reserve. Return up the path, or continue out to Ranfurly Ave and stroll back to the hideaway along Fairfield Rd, Heaphy Terrace and Verel Street.
