Beaches and Parks

This is our local public beach with miles of beautiful sand and dunes. If you’re willing to walk a little, you will find areas of beach you can own all to yourself and where you can access both the ocean and the bay! It is 7 miles to Cupsogue from the Cottage. Day passes to park and access the beach are (currently) $18/day. Best to get there early on the weekends when the weather is good as the parking lot can fill up, but you shouldn’t have any issues mid-week. There are electronic signs at the bridges leaving Westhampton that tell you whether the beach is full yet or not. The park offers all the amenities to make a great day out at the beach…food, drink, summer entertainment and bathrooms.

Perfect for sunrise and sunset walks! While Village beaches are reserved for village residents and long term renters only, it is possible to enter Rogers Beach without an entry pass if you arrive before 10am (when the office opens and lifeguards go on duty) or after 5pm (when they close). NOTE…you canNOT park at the beach parking lot without a permit during open hours, no matter what time you enter. For non-permit holders, there is limited street parking across the street on the other side of the bridge (just in front of the beach) and so offers an option to park there and then just walk back over to the beach. Roger’s Beach is just under 3 miles from the Cottage. Alternatively, you could park in town (note any time limits!) and walk to Rogers from there (1 mile walk).

Pikes Beach is yet another great place to access the beach and ocean, just 4 miles from the Cottage. It is run by the Town of Southampton and daily parking permits can be purchased for $30/day.
