Strawberry Station has been opened since 2012 to meet your needs! We have the best coffee around, an extensive beer collection, grocery items, top quality climbing gear, K2 ski and snowboard rentals and plenty of other rad supplies. If you need tire chains during the snowy season, we are sure to have the most competitive prices and the friendliest crew to install them. Look for our VW buses out front and stop in to say “Hi!” Come have a beverage on our patio on your way to Tahoe Basin.
We are conveniently located on Highway 50 across the street from world-class climbing on Lover’s Leap, just 10 minutes from Desolation Wilderness, Sierra at Tahoe, and 30 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe. The Desolation Wilderness is our backyard and we welcome PCT hikers to stop and stay awhile!

Walk across the bridge, turn left, go to the end to the campgrounds, go through the campgrounds and find the trail. Beautiful hike on an old river bed through pine and aspen trees at the base of lovers leap. Keep going and you’ll get to the river. Take a picnic. Or, if you’re a climber, head on up the face!
