Fantastic warren of secondhand books taking over the whole arcade. Run by a lovely local family. (Look out for the bric-a-brac stall supporting the local Silver Band, in which our two sons played - it's raised improbable thousands of pounds over the years for new instruments.)

This Millennium project involved the planting of a new woodland area and the construction of a stone sundial and representation of the solar system. It's a beautiful place for a walk. Then go on to the pretty village of Ardington with it's tiny church and friendly pub, or have a cream tea at the excellent Grocer Chef.
