THE COTTAGE WINE BISTRO .....Favorite dining place....
Our FAVORITE dining spot is the Cottage Wine Bistro on Mound Street just off of Main Street. They have an extensive wine list....extensive....and wonderful savory crepes as well as a menu that changes according to the season and availability of fresh items. Excellent seafood, EXCELLENT filet, Excellent soups and a very creative chef that will try to accommodate anything you have a hankering for. The venue has lots of outdoor areas for dining and makes sure that no matter how cold it is there are heaters and blankets everywhere. The weather is never a problem and most times an advantage. There is also intimate indoor dining.Live music Wed-Sat nites. Outstandingly creative bartender for very special mixed drinks. They are open for lunch Wednesday -Saturday and they have an excellent brunch on Sunday from 11-2. Just cannot give enough praise to this little place.

THE REPUBLIC STEAKHOUSE in The Fredonia Hotel.
This is an elegant steakhouse with outstanding dinners. Their steaks are wonderful. The Republic has great crab cakes and other items. The menu is the same as it was 5 years ago which is pretty dang good though pricey and reservations are required as they only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We like dining in the bar but the dining room is very nice and private. It is a lovely place with VERY good service and VERY good food. Wonderful for a special occasion. Love it.

They have good Italian cuisine and serve very generous portions. You will have enough to take back to the cabin for a late night snack!

BOTTLECAP ALLEY This relaxed sports bar has food with a bit of Thai influence. Watch your favorite sports games on televisions all over this very large place and enjoy MUCH better than average bar food. Loud even when there are not many people there.
