This is a quiet breakfast place in a beautiful setting. You can also make reservations for dinner on the weekends. We have been for breakfast and it is always delicious. This cafe is a good alternative to the Maine Diner when that is too busy!

Merriland Farm Cafe
557 Coles Hill RdThis is a quiet breakfast place in a beautiful setting. You can also make reservations for dinner on the weekends. We have been for breakfast and it is always delicious. This cafe is a good alternative to the Maine Diner when that is too busy!
This is the place that President George Bush Sr. would frequent. It has great seafood. In the summer, there is often a line. We have called and ordered take-out and brought it back to the cottage to avoid lines.

There is a Rachel Carson wildlife refuge very close to our cottage that offers hiking trails to Drakes Island Beach. Go North on Route 1 to Laudholm Farm Rd - take that right and then take a left on Skinner Mill Road and enter the refuge from there.

The Wells Market has a great meat selection and you can avoid the traffic that you hit if you had to go to Hannaford's. They also have a great beer selection. THere is a laundromat in the plaza as well.
