Stradbroke and Moreton Islands are great islands to visit and easy to get to from Brisbane. Also, out in the bay is King Island where you can walk out to from Wellington Pt at low tide. All have their own cafes, pubs or resorts and need to be checked out online.

A great sanctuary for koalas, kangaroos and a variety of Australian animals. The bird show is fantastic and you can cuddle a koala.
